Year 7 take part in Languages Buddies Club

We had three Y7’s teaching their native languages: Victoria who is a native Russian speaker, Mari who is fluent in Japanese and Emily who speaks Mandarin. Today we learnt basic greetings in each of the three languages and next week will be moving on to talking about food! We are hoping to add more languages throughout the year. Tamil, French, Bengali and Hindi have been mentioned as possibilities. It’s been lovely to see the girls sharing their culture and teaching one another and is testament to the incredible diversity of SHS.
