I am delighted to be accompanying your daughters on the start of their GCSE journey.

It is a journey rich in opportunity, but also with its challenges, yet I know that they will continue to rise to these challenges with both my support and also the fantastic Y11 Tutor Team.

Throughout the year I will be expecting all Y11 students to set high standards of behaviour and commitment to school activities, whether academic, sporting or other extra-curricular. Students are expected to attend school regularly, participate in lessons fully and remain polite, kind and respectful at all times, to all members of staff and students alike. It is our aim at Sutton High that all students will reach their academic potential and their consistent well-being remains at the heart of all we offer here.

Whilst your daughter’s form tutor is your initial point of contact, you are welcome to contact me at anytime, or Ms Dixon, our Head of Pupil Wellbeing. I do hope that your daughters will take advantage of the fantastic range of clubs available to them, by participating in those which are familiar to them, and also challenging themselves to try something more unfamiliar.

In these GCSE years it is vital for students to have time to relax and recharge; these clubs offer the perfect opportunity to mix with
others outside their form and teaching groups. This academic year is sure to be busy, yet rewarding; I sincerely hope your daughters will embrace the wealth of activities on offer to them. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any concerns and I will always be happy to help.

Wishing you all a fantastic academic year ahead.
