The Salvation Army invites SHS to participate in Christmas Toy Appeal
The Salvation Army, our chosen local charity, invited Sutton High School to participate in their Christmas Toy Appeal. The Salvation Army is a renowned charity providing vital support to those in need, with services offered through 750 community churches and social centres across the UK and Ireland. Their work includes helping adults find employment, supporting farmers in improving their harvests, and advocating for gender justice and addressing inequality for women.
This year, through our toy donations, we will help over 230 children, aged 0 to 18, enjoy a brighter Christmas. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed gifts, including puzzles, games, LOL dolls, and more. We would also like to extend a special thank you to Major Cotterill, a representative of the Salvation Army, for inviting Sutton High to participate in this worthwhile event again this year; she was truly grateful and delighted by our generous contributions.
