Sutton High School is delighted to announce that the Class of 2024 has achieved exceptional A-level results, with over half of all grades at A or A*, a quarter of our pupils gaining straight A*/As, and 80% into their first-choice university.
Our students have been offered places at an impressive array of top universities and conservatoires, including Oxford, Durham, St Andrew’s and the Royal Academy of Music.
Head Girl, Olivia, will study Medicine at Queen’s, Belfast, having gained three A*s and an A. Our two Deputy Head Girls, Gabby and Kiyara, will be heading to Oxford to read History and English, and a highly-competitive Computer Engineering degree-apprenticeship at Landrover Jaguar, having both gained straight A/A* grades.
Our pupils’ destinations showcase the diverse and ambitious paths our students are taking as they continue their educational journeys. From Architecture at Manchester University, to Dentistry at King’s College, London, Acting at Mountview to Veterinary Science at Liverpool University, pupils have chosen to pursue careers which cover a broad spectrum of STEM-based and Arts-based subjects.
Beth Dawson, Head of Sutton High School, commented:
“I am immensely proud of our students and staff today. Our results are increasing year on year, with many pupils achieving straight A/A* grades.
I am particularly pleased to see such a diverse range of courses and destinations, which aligns perfectly with our commitment to supporting each girl in realizing her unique ambitions and strengths. Our students are exceptionally well-prepared for the next stage of their academic journey, thanks in part to our award-winning careers service, which provides personalized UCAS support from application to acceptance.
I wish all our girls every success as they embark on these exciting new chapters in their lives. Their futures are undeniably bright, and I have no doubt they will continue to make us proud.”
