The curtain is rising on another year of thrilling theatre here at Sutton High School. Our talented students have been hard at work preparing a diverse lineup of shows that promise to entertain and inspire.
Year 7: Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland Miss Coslett’s Year 7 cast are deep in the rabbit hole, rehearsing their abridged version of “Alice in Wonderland.” With their performance date of November 15th just around the corner, the energy is high as they bring this classic tale to life.
Year 10-13: The It Our older students are tackling the thought-provoking play “The It.” They’ll even receive a professional workshop with the renowned theatre company Splendid to enhance their performance with dynamic movement.
6th Form Musical Cabaret Get ready for a musical extravaganza as our 6th formers present their cabaret featuring beloved songs from various musicals. They’ve already started rehearsing the “Hairspray” number, and it’s shaping up to be a showstopper.
KS3 Musical: The Little Mermaid Auditions for our KS3 musical, “The Little Mermaid,” are almost complete, and the cast list will be announced soon. Rehearsals for this underwater adventure will begin in the Spring term.
Drama Club: A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Audio Play) In a first for our school, Drama Club is creating an audio play adaptation of Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” Mr. Hoar is guiding them in the state-of-the-art podcast room, and we can’t wait to tune in later this term.
