Model United Nations trip to MUN Workshop at Bromley High School
MUN Society recently took a trip to Bromley High School to participate in a Model United Nations conference in which we represented the countries Slovenia and Mauritius. Through debate and discussions, we tacked the question of the climate crisis, with each committee focusing on a different issue. This varied from the Security Council looking at conflict over natural resources, to the Human Rights Council focusing on the right to protest environmental problems.
We were given the opportunity to delve into real world issues and broaden our understanding of global relations and negotiations. The conference was thoroughly e njoyable as we were able to connect with other GDST students, giving us the opportunity to engage in discussions with diverse perspectives. We enjoyed the chance to challenge ourselves and develop our confidence in public speaking, as well as broadening our knowledge of global relations.
The conference was a fantastic opportunity for the MUN society to connect with others, engage in fruitful debate and we look forward to going many more conferences in the future!
