Feedback

Feedback is an essential part of the learning process and will be given in a variety of ways including written and verbal teacher feedback, peer marking and self-marking, as well as reporting of common errors as whole class feedback and one-to-one tutorials with individual students.

Students work will be teacher marked at least twice every half term and the feedback given will include guidance on how to move forward and improve. For key assessments, the feedback will also indicate a student’s progress compared to their personal target, using the chart below:

Students are expected to respond to the feedback given by teachers (e.g. making corrections or edits, redrafting work, completing additional questions) to show that they have understood the feedback and have moved their learning forward. Any written response to teacher feedback should be completed in purple pen.
