Useful tops and resources
Geography is an ever-evolving subject and the best Geographers are those who have a good understanding of what is going on in the world around them. The best way to become a better Geographer is to develop an interest in the wider world.
• KS3 Geography – BBC Bitesize
• Internet Geography
• National Geographic
• BBC Earth
• Royal Geographical Society: Ask the Geographer Podcast
• Ordnance Survey MapZone – great for practising map skills
What super curricular activities can KS3 students engage with outside of school?
The BBC Earth documentaries and podcasts are an excellent starting point to introduce many of the issues facing the natural world today and we also recommend subscribing to the Royal Geographical Society’s ‘Ask the Geographer’ podcast, which has episodes suitable for students from KS3 up to KS5.
