Amirah is awarded a commendation by Queens College!
Year 7 practised translating shape poems in French lessons this year. They were then invited to enter The Anthea Bell Prize for Young Translators. It is run by Queens College, Oxford and there were 36 judges, 1500 entries, 6 different levels. There were 24 UK-wide winners, 20 UK-wide runners-up, 189 area winners and 215 commended entries. Amirah in Year 7 did amazingly well and has been awarded a commendation and you will be able to see her name on the attached link.
