This week, a group of Year 8’s went to the Satrofest for STEM at ACS Cobham. We had a fun and educational day participating in STEM related activities and listened to some inspirational stories about people’s journeys to success. Our favourite activity of the day was the career stalls because they were interactive and gave us an insight into careers in STEM and opened our minds to various career paths.
Activities ranged from the highway challenge, which involved finding an efficient solution to a pothole in the road to learning about physical computing and programming a microbit to change colours on our command. Overall we had a great day which opened our minds to the world of STEM!
