Part of our Year 8 Kaleidoscope Environmental Literacy programme is to go litter picking around the streets of Sutton. Litter picking not only helps the environment, but also keeps our community clean. We support the charity, Surfers Against Sewage: https://www.sas.org.uk/
The enthusiasm of the students is a joy to watch – in groups of 4, students are challenged to pick up 100 pieces of litter in 30 minutes. It’s incredible – both the amount of rubbish found (our record stands at 143) and the desire from the students to do something about it.
